  • 1 cup toor dal
  • 1/2 tsp Taaza Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Taaza Cumin (whole/seeds)
  • 1 tsp Taaza Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • Salt & coriander leaves

Step-by-step method

    Pressure-cook toor dal with turmeric and salt until soft.

    Heat ghee, crackle cumin and fry garlic until golden.

  3. 3

    Add red chilli powder off the heat for a vibrant tadka.

  4. 4

    Pour the tempering over the dal, simmer 5 minutes and garnish with coriander.
